Fundamentals and Introduction to Hydraulic Mobile Design - ED
Objectives
At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:
- Convert a specification into a hydraulic diagram.
- Determine the components of a hydraulic diagram (open circuit) by calculation.
Program
Part 1
- CONVERT A SPECIFICATION INTO A HYDRAULIC DIAGRAM
- Project monitoring: Commercial approach – Data in a specification – Example of a specification – Design stages.
- Introduction to the study of hydraulic circuits: The usual symbols used in mobile hydraulics – Open and closed circuits.
- Receivers: Symmetrical subjected to a resisting force (torque) – Symmetrical subjected to a driving force (torque) – Dissymmetrical subjected to a resisting force – Dissymmetrical subjected to a driving force.
- Generation of flow or pressure: Fixed or variable flow generators – Pressure generators – Conclusion.
- Circuit architecture
- Open circuit design
- Designing open circuit diagrams: Differential-fed single-rod cylinder – Choice of distribution device – Fitting balancing valves – Fitting flow limiters and regulators – Speed control of driving loads – Cartridge-based diagrams – Receiver synchronism – Load braking – Filtration.
- Examples of diagrams.
Part 2
- SELECTING THE CIRCUIT’S HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS
- Refresher on the specifications.
- Example of a diagram.
- Hydraulic fluid: Mineral oil – Non-flammable fluids – Biodegradable fluids.
- Cylinders – Pumps – Hydraulic motors.
- Displacement control devices: Constant speed variable displacement flow control – Constant output pressure – Load-sensing – Power limiting – Dependent power summation – Independent power summation – Flow sharing.
- Tanks – Design details – Volume calculation – Heat loss calculation.
- Piping: Calculation formulas – Technology and installation – Rigid pipes – Flexible pipes.
- Fittings and flanges.
