Objectives

At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:

  • Understand fault-finding methodology for complex circuits.
  • Make equipment reliable.

Program

1. HY4 SAFETY: UNDERSTANDING SAFETY IN INDUSTRIAL OR MOBILE HYDRAULICS
  • Commissioning: Checking – Adjusting – Testing – Tuning.
  • Process or control system modifications.
  • Adapting circuits to safety regulations.
  • Troubleshooting.
2. METHODOLOGY FOR MONITORING EQUIPMENT PERFORMANCE
  • Means of monitoring: Test points – Procedure – Interpretation of results (pressure, flow, speed, temperature, efficiency, etc.).
  • Refresher on setting modes.
  • Application of the procedure for safe start-up for personnel and machine.
  • Understanding the tools.
  • Installation performance report (benchmark).
3. FAULT-FINDING ON A SIMULATOR USING THE DIAGRAM
  • Practical applications on an open circuit: With constant pressure regulation pump and load-sensing – With 4/3 load-sensing directional valve – With power regulation.
  • Practical applications on hydrostatic transmission (closed circuit): With oil-exchange spool and scavenge valve – With pressure-maintaining regulation.
  • Troubleshooting methodology: Formulation of hypothesis – Principle of elimination of possible causes (isolation, permutation, comparison, instrumentation).
  • Checking and recording the performance of the faulty installation.
  • Interpretation of measurement values compared to the reference system.
  • Analysis of causes: Diagnostics – Locating the fault on the diagram – Locating the fault on the simulator – Remedies and fault corrections – Tests – Fault report.

ESSENTIAL: Trainees must bring: PPE
