1. DEFINITIONS AND BASIC CONCEPTS
- Refresher on the principles of cutting.
 - Mowing.
 - Clearing undergrowth.
 - Knowledge of vegetation.
 
2. OVERVIEW OF DIFFERENT CUTTING EQUIPMENT
- Self-propelled forwarder.
 - Shredder for grass, scrub and wood.
 - Tools: Housing – Bearing – Rotor – Flails – Feeler roller – Skirts – Deflectors – Skids, etc.
 - Cutting method: Direction of rotation – Cutting height – Feed speed.
 
3. CUTTING TOOL TECHNOLOGY
- The different rotors and flails.
 - On/off, proportional joystick.
 
4. STAFF AND USER SAFETY
- Safety rules.
 - Gestures and postures.
 - Signage.
 - Driving rules.
 - Driver position.
 
5. ENVIRONMENT
- Economic and ecological factors.
 - Site reconnaissance and plan of attack, work methods.
 - Beaconing.
 - Cleanliness.
 
6. 1ST LEVEL CHECKS AND MAINTENANCE
- Analysis of manufacturers’ documents: User manual – Maintenance booklet – Follow-up sheets.
 - Checking and displaying equipment in the workshop: Checking the forwarder – Levels – Condition and tension of the tracks – Battery charges – Checking the radio control functions – Checking the tool holder – Joints – Hoses / Fittings – Checking the bolts and nuts and tightening – Checking the shredder – Condition of the mud flaps – Safety device.
 - Maintenance: Awareness of the cost of investment and maintenance – Preventive maintenance – Lubrication – Cleaning – Wear parts – 1st level servicing.
 
7. ALARM MANAGEMENT
- Identification of an alarm.
 - Severity / Incidence.
 - Solving the problem.
 - Verification.
 
8. APPLICATION ON A SECURE SITE
- Rigorous checks and controls.
 - Cutting height adjustment.
 - Site survey.
 - Signage.
 - Rules for safe driving.
 - Driving assistance systems.
 - Transport and movement positioning.
 
9. OPERATING DEMONSTRATION BY THE TRAINER
