In late 2025 and early 2026, our experts had the opportunity to travel to Guadeloupe to train several trainees at Gardel SA.
Gardel is the last remaining sugar factory in operation on the mainland of Guadeloupe. Founded in 1870 and the island’s largest employer, preserving its expertise is at the heart of its DNA.

IFC Tritech has been working with Gardel for many years. We carry out work on both the factory’s stationary hydraulic equipment and the mobile hydraulic and electrical equipment used for cutting and harvesting sugar cane.
1,000 hectares of sugar cane are cultivated, and 40 machines are used to cut it.

The latest training courses, delivered on-site over a three-week period by IFC Tritech experts, covered:

  • The industrial section of the factory, featuring a session on ‘Basic Hydraulics’
  • The training programme includes two sessions dedicated to ‘Advanced Mobile Hydraulics’ and ‘Electrical Systems for Machinery’.

A big thank you to Gardel for their continued trust over the years!
